Jerusalem: Radio Free Nachlaot, “the coolest Internet radio station in the entire world” (Lazer Lloyd Blumen) presents the eagerly-awaited 2nd Annual 9 Days of Jerry.

Radio Free Nachlaot’s signature broadcast event celebrates the nine "Days Between" musical icon Jerry Garcia's birthday on August 1st and the anniversary of his death (yartzeit) on August 9th.

"We continue to hear from our audience throughout the year, who enjoyed the 9 Days of Jerry so much the first time they are literally reminding us not to forget, it's almost Jerry time again," added Program Director and co-founder Lorelai Kude. "It's become a Chag (holiday) for Deadheads."

The 9 Days of Jerry will feature concerts from the entire career of Jerry Garcia, from his pre-Warlock days through his his solo career and 30 years playing with The Grateful Dead. Guest DJ’s (“The Eleven”) will bring their music and personal adventures with Jerry and the Grateful Dead to the world. As they enjoyed doing last year, Radio Free Nachlaot fans will “Deadicate” their favorite Grateful Dead Shows during the much-anticipated 9 Day Internet radio extravaganza.

The highlight of this year’s festivities is JERRYFEST, a live Grateful Dead Tribute Concert to be held on Sunday August 14th at the legendary Mike’s Place in Jerusalem.  

“The 9 Days of Jerry Band” led by Aryeh Naftaly (“The Elevators”) will include local musical merry pranksters and guest stars Yehuda Katz (“Reva L’Sheva”) and Lazer Lloyd Blumen (“Yood”).  “Long Time Gone”‘s Elijah Sidikman will open the show at 10pm.

The concert will be the showcase fundraising event for Radio Free Nachlaot’s 9 Days of Jerry. Fans within Israel can purchase tickets for Jerryfest (and the pre-show private Kosher Mexican dinner) by emailing: radiofreenachlaot@gmail.com.
